In addition to gathering for worship each Sunday and cultivating a spirit of prayer, devotion and charity, we also strive to build community through parish activities that help us to foster relationships with other members of the parish.

In the Fall of 2015, Fr. Jay asked Mrs. Maureen Lizak to be the coordinator of this group with a group of parishioners who formerly led the parish "Dinner Club." Anyone wishing to be a part of this group and help plan different activities for the parish can speak with either Fr. Jay or Maureen.

Some activities include:

Second Sunday Social - Coffee and pastry after the Sunday Masses on the second Sunday of each month in the parish hall.

Parish Dinners -  Throughout the year, a variety of dinners are held in the parish hall. On the feast of St. Joseph in March, we have a dinner at the Venus De Milo restaurant in Swansea to honor the Patron of our parish.

Parish Yard Sale/Craft Fair - individual venders are invited to sell their crafts/personal items at the yearly yard sale held each summer.

"Paint and Pray" - usually held on Friday nights, the group gathers to paint, pray and enjoy an adult beverage. There is an instructor who guides the group in painting a different scene at each gathering. No experience is necessary.

Trips to Foxwoods Casino: Bus trips are held every other month leaving around 9am and returning in the late afternoon. Trips are advertised in the parish bulletin.
